I took this yesterday at work, this is a very, very sharp surgical scalpel bladed knife. I use it everyday at work. I was waiting on the carpenter bringing me some new blank heigh sticks for the attractions in the theme park. So i had some time to spare, so i took some close up macro shots of my knife. :-) hehe Initially i had an idea of cutting the knife from the table it sat on and layering it into a .psd file and have a white background. Making it very clean and simple. I ended up doing this, by greyscaling and adjusting the curves of the image, i got this effect. I like the darkness of the image, not just the darkness as in the colour, but with all the score marks on the desk and the sharp point of the blade. It almost seems to be hiding, like someone in an alley way. The score marks seem somewhat sinister, in a way. Like it know, that if you 'mess' damage could be inflicted. Hmm, well anyway, thats what i think!

Great idea. I love how it is sitting on top of something that has been sliced over and over and you can see the marks, really makes it fun! Great b/w tones, interesting idea!! Next time you need to find actual work though "innocent boy"

very nice :D The side that the light isn't on is sort of dark, and that side is the one we're looking at, but I like it :D
